There are many services that help consumers find someone who can sell them a particular product at a good price. But often consumers first want to find material and experts that can help them select the best product for their needs.

However free high-quality help is hard to find. Advertising revenue is often insufficient to fund the creation of diverse and well-researched material, and full-service retailers are wary of being gazumped by discount outlets.
